| Be Thou My Vision
|
 |
"Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart...." so begins the text to the lovely Irish folk melody known as the hymn tune SLANE. Arranger Linda Lamb uses nontraditional harmonies to open this piece before she settles into a chordal passage of the tune. She also uses syncopation, staccato technique, and flowing arpeggios to enhance the melody. The work ends by moving out of the key in "fortissimo" dynamic and including a mart lift. Measures total 79. This piece is set in C Major. |
